The Ohara School began at the end of the 19th century when Ohara Unshin created a new style of ikebana called "moribana" and paved the way for modern ikebana.
A century after its founding, the Ohara School has adapted to the changing lifestyles of the times by creating ikebana that is suited to modern spaces, based on moribana.
